OYO 11515 The Lily Guest House

The staff were quick and courteous, and the location was pleasantly quiet. We also found the rooms clean and the food great. One of the best places we stayed in Shillong, and I’ll book it again next time.

The bathrooms and rooms were surprisingly spacious, and everything was neat and clean. The room felt cold in the Shillong weather, but that didn’t take away from a really nice stay. They have geysers too. I loved it.

I suggested Lily Guest House to a friend and his relatives, then regretted it after hearing how rudely the staff treated them. I’d wanted them to try it once, but now I tell my friends and relatives to stay elsewhere when they visit. I wonder whether the other 5-star ratings were paid for or entered by friends and family. I won’t go back or recommend it, and I’ll tell the Indian Bank staff to avoid it too.

One of our family members became ill, and they made a customized meal for us when we asked. The rooms were very clean and well sanitized, and the staff and cooks were supportive. A nice place for a family stay, with very good room service and food.
