The food is sublime, and the service is extraordinary, better than what I’ve found even at the finest dining places today. With its decor, style, and grandeur, the place feels like stepping nearly 200 years into the past. It brings back a forgotten era and a strong sense of nostalgia. An absolute must visit!

The grounds and atmosphere are lovely, though the location can be hard to find. It’s a historic home filled with amazing things from a bygone era. The gracious owner arranged a walking tour for us around Shimla's Ridge, Mall, and Viceroy's Lodge. Breakfast, dinner, and tea came with attentive service, and there was a choice of Indian and European cuisine. A very nice experience.

I’m already dreaming about coming back to Chapslee. The whole Chapslee family was so welcoming, and the warmth and hospitality felt unlike anywhere else. The food was amazing, and I loved the antique furniture and vintage wallpapers. Every corner seemed to hold a bit of history and a story. Chapslee really has my heart, it’s a gem. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The hosts were very pleasant, and the atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. This comfortable hotel is a beautifully preserved historic house in central Shimla, just a two-minute walk from the Mall. I highly recommend it.
