Hotel Lords Regency

We felt uncomfortable and unsafe as a family traveling with women and a daughter. Groups of unruly bachelors wandered around, using foul language in the shared areas and staircases, despite the property being advertised as family-friendly. The room was a letdown too. Food was extremely overpriced and poor quality. Even after repeated requests, we weren't given basics like a kettle or toiletries. Room service was practically absent, the laundry came back filthy, smelly, and stained, the pillows felt unhygienic and uncomfortable, and the overall cleanliness was appalling. The problems started when we mistakenly parked in the lot and a man rudely told us it belonged to the hotel. Two hotels had similar names, and we unknowingly chose this one. That mistake ruined our three-day vacation. The receptionist seemed polite at first, but after taking full advance payment for the whole stay, his attitude and the service changed completely. We were steered toward a local taxi for Shimla because of snow in Kufri, then found out the receptionist owned the taxi service. He pushed a cab package with our room, and it felt like he was putting his commission ahead of our convenience. The whole thing felt set up. There was sweet talk and promises before check-in, then very little after our money was paid. The lack of professionalism, hygiene, transparency, and basic hospitality was shocking. This was a disaster and a regrettable mistake that spoiled what should have been a peaceful vacation. Don't pay in advance or rely on verbal promises, and inspect everything before committing. Avoid this place.
