The manager’s response to our concerns summed up the place. When I mentioned the broken locks and lack of water, he just shrugged and said, “This is normal. You are not the only one who has stayed here.” There was no apology or attempt to fix anything, and the attitude felt indifferent and dismissive. The room was filthy and in poor shape. The windows had no locks, the main door barely worked, and the cracked WC leaked. We couldn’t get hot water at all, even in freezing Shimla weather. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and deeply unprofessional. This was the worst hospitality experience I’ve had. The facilities felt unsafe, and it was a waste of money. Don’t stay here.

The rooms are cramped, the exhaust fans don’t work, and poor ventilation leaves a bad smell from the washroom. The management is awful, with only two or three staff around, and the staff are very rude. A miserable hotel. Find somewhere else so you don’t waste money or spoil your trip and mood.

The location is the only reason to consider booking here. The staff were extremely arrogant. We’d specifically asked for at least one room to be ready when we arrived, but they refused to give us one before noon even though a room was vacant. The rooms are very cramped. I wouldn’t give this place any stars.

The staff were polite, professional, and always happy to help, which made the stay easy and comfortable. I was also pleasantly surprised by a complimentary upgrade from Deluxe to Super Deluxe. My room was clean, spacious, and well cared for, with a cozy feel. Hotel Mayur is conveniently on the road near the Mall of Solan. A relaxing, hassle-free choice in Solan, and I’d recommend it.
