Hotel Woodpark

I arrived with a confirmed, fully paid Agoda booking, but the staff said there was no reservation and told me to contact Agoda. No apology, responsibility, or solution. They denied check-in after taking full payment, and I was left at reception with my luggage. The staff were careless and unhelpful. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I strongly DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone booking through online platforms. Very poor management and zero customer handling skills.

I spent 2 days at Hotel Woodpark, Shimla, and the stay was extremely disappointing. The room smelled bad, the flooring was swollen and damaged, and they didn’t provide water or a welcome drink after check-in, which I didn’t expect from a hotel calling itself 3-star. The TV didn’t work because their recharge had run out, another sign of poor management. Dinner one day seemed to be the same food reheated and served again the next day, and the food quality was very poor. The service and quality felt far below a 3-star level. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, better to pick somewhere else and avoid wasting your money.

The balcony had a lovely scenic view, and it was nice to sit there with a coffee. Rooms were neat and clean, service was great, the staff cooperative, and the location nice. A good experience.

Everything else was nice, but I didn’t like being charged 2000 rs extra because they didn’t provide a heater. We expected a heater to be part of the room facilities in a cold region, so that charge felt hidden to us.
