This is quite an old property, and the main thing that needs work is the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. Beyond that, I was pleased with the food, the room views, and the location, in my opinion. Most of all, the staff were accommodating and respectful, and I really appreciated their attitude. My mother doesn’t eat onion or garlic, and each time we requested it, the hotel provided meals without either. Thanks to the team for that.

The premium rooms were clean, bright, and spacious, with comfortable bathrooms and hot water. The breakfast buffet was tasty and reasonably priced. This is a lovely heritage hotel with antique furniture, wooden floors, and a wooden staircase. The manager and staff were professional and courteous, and the place offers great value for money. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Mall Road. If you want an affordable, charming heritage stay, this is a good choice.

The food was just okay, and it’s far from Mall road, so you need a cab to get to the various spots. The rooms are old and not properly maintained, and the bathroom floor was slippery. It could work for a budget trip, but I wouldn’t call it ideal for a family stay. I wasn’t very satisfied.

The bathroom was very dirty, with basic hygiene missing. The blankets and bedsheets were dirty too, and even after we asked twice for clean blankets, the replacements still didn’t seem properly cleaned or safe to use. We booked Treebo The Alpine Heritage Residency, Shimla online after seeing the website photos, but the hotel’s real condition was completely different from what was advertised. It’s very disappointing when full charges and taxes are collected despite this lack of hygiene. Hygiene is a basic requirement, and this stay didn’t meet the standards the company promised. I’m requesting immediate action and appropriate compensation. Very disappointed.

The hotel’s restaurant was good, and the dishes I ordered were reasonably priced. There’s also a car hiring service at the front desk. The property and rooms are good, the staff are polite and courteous, and I had a pleasant stay. The location is a little away from the city bustle and Mall Road, which I liked. The downside is that the hotel sits on a ridge, so you have to walk down quite a bit from the main road. Cars can’t reach the main entrance and need to be parked up on the main road. That walk could be difficult for wheelchair users, older guests, or anyone with knee problems.
