OYO 3538 Hotel Mahamaya

The room was good, and the person at the front desk was great. Parking was a problem, though, especially for anyone traveling by bike. Mr.Santram, a hotel employee, was foul-mouthed and completely unprofessional, and I had a lot of trouble because of him.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this place. The price was high, but the stay was terrible value for money, and security felt inadequate. Noise from outside and other guests made it hard to rest. Basic amenities were unreliable or sometimes didn't work at all, including Wi-Fi, hot water, and air conditioning. The food was below average, tasted poor, and came with limited options. Room service was slow and often got orders wrong. When we reported problems, staff seemed uninterested in helping. The room was poorly maintained, with broken furniture, stained sheets, and an unpleasant smell throughout the stay. The bathroom was dirty, the towels looked old and unwashed, and dust covered many surfaces. Cleanliness clearly wasn't a priority. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and far below expectations.

Don't book. There was a bad odor in the rooms, dampness from the rain all over, and neither the room nor bathroom was clean.

The biggest concern was parking: there wasn't a proper space, so we left our bikes on the roadside, which felt worrying. It needs improvement if you're bringing your own vehicle. Otherwise, the stay was fine. The rooms were nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable enough for one night. We really liked the balcony view over the city, especially in the morning and at night. It was peaceful to stand there.
