The location on Mall Road and the decent price couldn't make up for an all-day water shortage. We had no proper supply for bathing or basic needs, and management didn't arrange an alternative. Staff ignored our complaints and gave no real response. Water is a basic necessity, especially in a tourist spot like Shimla. A very poor stay, and I wouldn't recommend Hotel Unique.

A waste of money and time. The washroom was dirty and the service was bad. Staff behaved badly toward my friend when I was staying there. I wouldn't suggest anyone stay here. They persuade people to book, then at checkout pretend it's their original side.

We left 12 hours before checkout, even though we'd paid for 24 hours, because neither my family nor I could sleep there. The room had a strong cigarette smell everywhere, including the sheets and blanket, and the washroom was unbelievably dirty. Carrying our luggage out left my shoulder hurting. The staff and service were no better. Before we arrived, they quoted 2500 for one day and said the full amount had to be paid in advance. Then they asked for 3000, and we felt stuck paying 500 extra. On arrival, they even said we hadn't booked a room. I was excited for my Shimla trip, but this hotel spoiled it. I'll never stay here again.

Bad location, and someone came into the room at night completely drunk. The room smelled, the walls were cracked, and the bedding was filthy: a dirty mattress, dirty pillow, and no blanket. The toilet was dirty too. No geyser, Wi-Fi, or drinking water, and they wouldn't keep our bags after checkout until evening.
