The location is good, but we got no service from the staff, who didn't respond to us. The rooms need maintenance and the electrical appliances need major servicing. Staff sometimes switched off the MCB, so after returning to the hotel we'd have to wait for them to turn the electricity back on. That doesn't seem like a proper approach.

The rooms are small, with only basic amenities, no fan, and no tea or coffee maker. Their view isn't good because of the location, and each time you leave the hotel there's a few hundred meters of walking to reach Mall Road. They charged us ₹ 2000/- plus GST but didn't give us an invoice when we checked out. An average hotel overall. I'd stay here only if I couldn't find a room around the main Mall Road.

The room was a little cramped, which might not suit a longer stay. Staff didn't come to clean it, and they wouldn't give us plates for food from outside. Still, we got a geyser, hot drinking water, bedsheets, warm bedding, a clean bathroom, and a cupboard big enough for two. The staff behaved well, too. It's a well-known hotel in the area and was a bit cheaper than many others. There were three of us, and it cost 1300 per day for our two-day booking.

The little kitchen and dining area served surprisingly good food. We ate at several places, but the meals here were good too, and the staff kindly helped us choose things to do and booked our bus to the next stop. We stayed in this small Shimla hotel after booking through Oyo rooms in 2016. The street is narrow and there’s no scenic view from the windows, but the hospitality made our stay wonderful.
