Riviera Residency by OYO Rooms

Please avoid booking this hotel. The rooms felt like an oven even at night, with no air coming in, and everything smelled dirty and of cigarettes. The bedsheets were dirty too. Taps were broken, showers didn't work, there were no bathroom mirrors, no TV, and no hot water unless you asked for a coil. They also kept washing buckets and other things on the staircase, which was in the way. There are only two staff members, no lift, and no cafeteria for breakfast, lunch, or tea. Very bad experience and poor maintenance.

We booked three days ahead, then drove 1500kms and reached at midnight to find the property locked from inside. We honked and banged on the gate for 30mins with no reply. The place looked ghostly, with peeling paint, and from the gate it seemed untouched for ages. A light was on in a top-floor room and someone seemed to be inside, but nobody answered. It shows up as the cheapest hotel in the area, but this felt like a SCAM. Please don't book.

It's a nice old hotel, and our room was in good condition, just as shown in the photos. The staff were pleasant and responsive. The bed sheets weren't very clean, and there's no free wifi. Hot water is only available from 6:30am to 9:30Am, though they can provide an electrical coil if you need it at other times. Three stars from me.

Seriously not recommended. The rooms were third class, and the service was rude and indecent. They set their own rates, charged us for an A/c room even though no A/c was working, and the taps didn't work either. There was no power backup, and the room had lots of big cockroaches and flies. The TV and channels weren't working.
