Hotel Golden Inn

The calm atmosphere and good food make it easy to settle in here. I return to Hotel Golden Inn, Siliguri every month for 4-5 days, and it’s started to feel like a second home. The rooms are clean, and the staff are consistently polite, professional, and ready to help with a smile. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting dependable hospitality in Siliguri.

Everything was in working order, including the AC, telephone, lift, and television. The bed, blanket, and pillow were fresh and clean, and both the room and bathroom were very tidy. It’s right beside the main road. All in all, a good experience.

The Jain Thali worked well for me while I was fasting, and it was satisfying enough for the road. There’s a wide choice of sweets and snacks, though the restaurant itself isn’t fancy. My cab driver recommended it as the best option along the way from Siliguri to Gangtok, and there really aren’t many good places to eat after leaving Siliguri. It’s a practical stop before a long drive. Service was slow and not very attentive, and cleanliness and hospitality could be better. Still, it’s worth a quick stop if you’re heading toward Gangtok. Just keep expectations modest, it’s a place to fill up before carrying on.

They wanted 2500 for a room, which seemed far too much for a poorly maintained hotel. The reception alone gave me the impression the place would be nasty. Rooms smelled bad and mostly had water seepage.
