Barog Heights

Hotel Barog Hights sits right at the top of Barog, and the view from my spacious room was amazing. The rooms were comfortable, with plenty of room to stretch out, and I loved the food too. It’s a great break from the everyday bustle, with the location being its biggest draw. A really relaxing stay with a fantastic view.

The food was excellent, and service stayed very good throughout my visit. Staff in every department were courteous and respectful. The building is older, but it has a certain grace and charm. I'm still here for one more day.

There’s plenty of parking, even for large cars and multi-seat heavy vehicles. The service staff are friendly and respectful, and the restaurant stays open late, so guests can get freshly prepared meals. Room choices range from basic to deluxe and luxury, with some offering private terraces and a Jacuzzi. It’s a large, well-maintained property built into the mountains above Barog, overlooking the Chandigarh-Shimla highway and Solan city. There are lots of places to sit with food or drinks and take in the views. The access lane from the main road is very steep, so drivers can have a hard time getting up to the resort.

They hosted our off-site event for over 150 people. The food was very good, and service and attention to detail were excellent. Staff were courteous, and they responded to requests quickly and satisfactorily.
