Really good service, and such a kind gesture. They’re also available all the time.

Rohit, the host, was very welcoming and helpful, and pets being allowed was a big deal for me. The room was really good for a homestay, with a small kitchen setup and an attached toilet. It’s away from the main area, and you have to walk down 50mtrs to get to the property. The morning view was amazing. They serve fresh, home-cooked food at very reasonable rates.

The room had an awesome view, and the host was outstanding. The home-cooked food and kitchen facilities were useful too. Orchid home stay sits among lush green mountains, which made it feel like paradise. If you get the chance to visit Shimla, go to Kandaghat and stay there to see the real Shimla instead of the stereotyped version. I’d recommend it 200%.
