Agonda beach lavender luxury guest houses and villas

We arrived to find out the rooms had been sold, even though we'd paid an advance to secure one. We paid 50% of the booking amount 15 days in advance, called the owner multiple times, and were clearly told the booking was confirmed. Nobody said it was tentative or depended on full payment. We messaged the owner that morning to reconfirm and got no reply. When we reached the property later that day, they told us the rooms had already sold out in the afternoon despite the advance and confirmed booking. The owner, Mr. Jacob John, was unbelievably rude. He acted as if even acknowledging us was a favour, had no manners or professionalism, and used bad language with customers. The staff looked exhausted and fed up with his attitude. To me, that suggested this kind of cheating and mistreatment was a regular habit. The rude and abusive behavior when we arrived made an already bad situation more harassing. Accepting advance consideration and then denying accommodation amounts to deficiency in service under Section 2(11) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Accepting payment while falsely representing availability falls within unfair trade practice under Section 2(47) of the Act. Internal policies, peak-season explanations, or justifications made afterward can't override statutory consumer rights. Pathetic hotel and management. It felt like a scam, and I wouldn't trust the photos shown in google for this hotel. If you value your money, time, and basic respect, don't consider booking here. I would have given it minus -100 stars if that were possible.

We came away feeling completely refreshed. The balcony sunrise was the highlight, with wide, unforgettable views over the greenery. De Lavender Resort feels wonderfully tucked away in Agonda, yet Agonda Beach is still close by. It’s a calm little escape from the crowds, surrounded by lush plants and a really peaceful atmosphere.

A calm, quiet property close to a clean beach. There’s a small cafe on the rooftop where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and apparently they also hold yoga classes up there. The bathrooms are clean, rooms have AC, and the balconies are nice for sitting out in the evening.

The kitchen was there, but we weren't allowed to use it. We had to pay ₹30 per person for them to make Maggi we'd brought ourselves, and it wasn't cooked well. The owner also seemed rude and unwilling to cooperate, and the owner and manager didn't seem to be on the same page. We only stayed one day, but even check-in was frustrating. They suddenly demanded a ₹1000 security deposit that hadn't been mentioned on the booking site or in earlier messages. We pointed that out, but still had to pay. It was a poor stay, and I wouldn't recommend the place.
