Eufregina Resort & Spa

We booked a room for 2days, but arrived 20mints late at night on the check-in day and the host wouldn't let us check in. We had to cancel the booking in the middle of the night and couldn't find another place to stay. We trusted the hotel management to understand the situation, but they didn't. I won't stay here again or recommend it to anyone. The host did allow free cancellation.

We stayed three nights at Eufregina Resort in Cavelossim, Goa, and there were both good and bad parts. Frank's restaurant downstairs served delicious meals, and the owner was friendly and accommodating. It also seemed the owner was fairly new to hospitality, which might have led to a few teething issues. The room issues added up. There was a persistent damp smell or feeling that affected our comfort and sleep, and the beds were quite hard. The washrooms had no exhaust fans, which was uncomfortable after showering. We started in a non-AC room, but it was sweltering, so we paid extra to switch to an AC room. If you choose non-AC, you may have to deal with the heat. The water allowance of one bottle for every four days felt stingy, there was no in-room iron, and paying Rs. 100 per day to use one seemed unreasonable. The photos use a wide-angle camera, so the rooms look more spacious than they are. The restaurant and the owner's hospitality were highlights, but the room conditions and amenities need improvement for a more comfortable stay.

Set in the fields in interior Cavelosim, this is a quiet choice for people looking to get away from city noise. It's away from the main cavelosim area, and the beach is a 30 min walk from the hotel. Food was good, but the complementary breakfast was very limited. Amenities are sparse: there's no fridge or Hot water Kettle in Room, and room service needs improvement.
