Harmonium Resorts Agonda

The beach-facing room was good, though the interior felt a little tired. We enjoyed our eight nights here, especially the breakfast, the service, and the location. This stretch of beach seemed the cleanest and quietest in Agonda, which made it great for children. It is fairly expensive for Goa, around the price of a good premium hotel in Helsinki, and there aren’t many alternatives nearby. Probably the best hotel you can find in Agonda. And please take care of the parrots!

The beach is right next door, which is the biggest plus, and the rooms are clean and well kept. Staff are courteous and helpful. It's a very quiet place, so it won’t suit people looking for party Goa, and despite its Google Maps rating, I wouldn’t call it a four-star property. Also, getting here from the airport takes about two hours, so plan accordingly.

We liked being near Agonda beach, and the rooms looked nice with their dark blue interiors. The black flooring wasn’t to my taste, especially in the bathroom, where the dark blue decor and black floor felt unpleasant. There were also some drainage problems. We only went to the restaurant for breakfast because it isn’t by the beach. There are lots of other restaurants along the beachfront, so food options were good.

Once we arrived, the view and the beach made it easy to forget the rough journey. The small, narrow roads were difficult for our tempo, and on the way we wondered if we’d made a mistake booking such an expensive place or were even going the right way. It turned out to be the best place I’ve stayed. It isn’t luxurious, but it has what you need to feel comfortable. Get a sea-facing room if you can. You can step straight from the room onto Agonda beach, which was clean, quiet, and had lovely water. Please do your part to keep it that way. The food was surprisingly good, even the dal fry and sandwich, and it’s a pure veg place for anyone worried about fish smells. Breakfast choices weren’t great, though the food itself was still good. The staff were helpful: one evening I mentioned a door that wouldn’t open fully because the wood had expanded, and it was fixed that same evening. They really tried to make us feel special. The downside for a Goa trip is that drinks aren’t available here. There’s a non-veg restaurant and a place serving drinks just two metres outside.
