Hilias Retreat

We had a lovely few days here. The location is quiet and convenient, close to restaurants, the beach, and anything else you might need. The owners are lovely, and our room was good, with hot water, a balcony, a comfy bed, and a fridge. The fridge did need a thorough clean or replacing, though. We’d definitely come back.

Palolem beach is just a couple of minutes away on foot, and the owners were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They helped us when we couldn’t work out where the bus to our next destination would stop, and again when I needed to go to hospital after stepping on something spiky in the sea. A lovely place to stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.

I've stayed here a few times and would happily come back. The people and location are great, and they've really fixed up the place. The garden has been renewed, and even the bathroom windows now have mosquito screens. The new rooms are fantastic and more spacious, though clearly more expensive.

We spent four nights here and had a great stay. Mr and Mrs Fernandes were kind and very welcoming. The beach is an easy walk, about five minutes away, and they rent out two-wheelers at a reasonable price. There are plenty of nearby places to get breakfast or other meals. You can also take a shortcut to Palolem market along the beach.
