Hotel Royal Altis

The staff were wonderful and gave great service. At breakfast, we asked for a few extra things for our kid, and they kindly provided them without charging us. Great place to stay and super value for money.

I couldn't get a clear answer to basic questions about the hotel. I called several times, and most calls went unanswered; when someone finally picked up, they seemed completely clueless. There was no proper information, courtesy, or sense of hospitality. If a simple phone enquiry is handled this poorly, I can only imagine what the actual service is like. I had a very disappointing experience before even booking, and definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

The room itself was clean and good. Getting basic service was the problem: they had no towels, and after I asked, it took an hour for them to bring some. We also asked to have the beds pushed together, and that took two hours.

We only needed help changing a booking date and were willing to pay any change or cancellation fees. My friend tried to sort it out with the hotel, but the person described as a “senior” kept hanging up and never called back. We tried five or six times, with the same result each time. It was rude and showed no responsibility. This was an absolutely horrible experience at Royal Altis, Goa, and if senior staff treat guests this way, I don't think the hotel is worth the money.
