OYO 988 Meadow View Resort

We enjoyed the stay very much. Everyone welcomed us warmly, and both the service and the food were very good. A great place to try for a stay.

The pool was a highlight, just right for a relaxed day in the sun, and the food was delicious with lots of variety. At Meadow Resort, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, always checking that we had what we needed. It was a peaceful, enjoyable getaway, and I’d happily come back.

The food was good, the location and view were excellent, and parking was available. The price also fit our budget, and the staff were courteous and kind. The pool was uncovered and could get dirty, but they cleaned it when we asked. Those were the bright spots in a stay with serious cleanliness and maintenance problems. There was dust and cobwebs throughout the room, including a thick layer on top of the cupboard. The bed head and curtains were filthy, and the curtains had to be changed. The towels and bathroom curtain were dirty too, although they replaced the towels. We saw two large cockroaches and smaller ones around the room, and kept killing them during our stay. The fridge had yellow stains, and dusty drawers still held old rubbish. The toilet seat was loose and had black dirt marks that looked permanent, and there was nowhere to store toiletries in the bathroom. The A/C vents were so dirty it seemed they hadn’t been cleaned in over a year. Staff said the unit was too high to clean regularly, so we asked for a ladder and cleaned it ourselves. The wash basin tap was loose and wasn’t fixed. The door key was difficult to use, though we eventually figured it out, and the pool loungers were too dirty to use. The bathroom latch was broken; staff fixed it, but seemed unaware of the problem beforehand. Cleaning staff were limited, and didn’t seem to know their responsibilities. Breakfast was only available when the chef was there, which didn’t inspire confidence. Guests should be able to expect basic cleanliness at check-in, and that wasn’t our experience.
