We enjoyed staying in the family room, with friendly service and staff, and Palolem market and the beach nearby. The cottages are pleasant and the setting is secluded, by the river and right on the beach. It’s not a luxury place, but it has what you need. Check that your room has a proper roof rather than fabric, since outside noise carries through the fabric ones. There’s no TV. The restaurant next door plays music, though you can ask the staff to turn it down if it bothers you.

The in-house restaurant was one of my favorite parts of the stay. It had a cozy, welcoming feel, the service was attentive without getting in the way, and every dish I tried was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. I looked forward to every meal. The rooms were clean and modern, and the hotel team were professional and welcoming throughout. The owner’s hospitality made our holiday staycation especially memorable. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, with an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and homey. I’d happily return and recommend the property for a staycation.

We appreciated how close the property is to the beach and how calm and peaceful the surroundings are. Beyond that, our stay was below average and didn’t feel worth what we paid. We booked 3 rooms for 2 days, but at arrival no one explained the different room types tied to our booking, which caused confusion after check-in. We were then quoted 1800/- for an extra mattress. When we asked them to accommodate us since we had booked 2 nights x 3 rooms, the caretaker replied, “people book here for 5 days!!” and said the resort was full, but could arrange one if we paid. We expected more courteous behavior from hospitality staff. The kids also weren’t given an extra pillow. Service was slow and unhelpful, and we felt Indian guests and foreign guests were treated differently. Even after we reported problems, they weren’t properly sorted out. The AC remote in one room didn’t work, water wasn’t available 24/7, the electric kettle was broken, the rooms lacked suitable lighting, and broken mattress springs made the beds very uncomfortable. Breakfast was disappointing in both quality and quantity. When we asked for another omelet, we were told it had “already been provided,” which seemed inappropriate for a buffet. Check-in and checkout were also poor. We had to carry most of our luggage from a distant parking lot, and the dusty parking area and path weren’t suitable for trolley bags. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that staff training, consistent service, and the guest experience improve.

The hostess was polite and extremely cooperative. We stayed on 28th & 29th January at this lovely place beside the backwaters, with the beach within walking distance. It deserves more than 5 stars.
