There was garbage burning outside, so we couldn’t use the balcony. A bright projector light at the intersection shone straight into our room, with no way to block it. The whole place smelled of smoke, and people were smoking indoors. The hallway was dirty with food stains, and the bathroom was full of ants.
They came to our door in the morning and doubled the room price without giving us any notice. Wouldn’t recommend.
You can walk to polelam beach in two minutes, and the bus and auto’s stand is right opposite the hotel, so it’s easy to travel elsewhere. The location is excellent. Our host Uday, an elderly man, was kind, hospitable, and very helpful. He also gave us a special discount during the season.
It’s a regular, budget lodge, so don’t expect 5star amenities. The owner was humble and caring, and our room was neat and clean.
There’s no backup power set up.
