Hotel Shubhanga Residency

The shower didn't work, the tap wouldn't shut off completely, and the bathroom was dirty with a dirty bucket and no soap. Maintenance was poor and they provided no amenities. The hotel guy was sleeping. I've never seen a worse hotel. A very bad experience, strongly not recommended, please avoid it.

It's walkable to the Temple, and there's food nearby at Surya Restaurant. Pickurstay Shubhanga Residency had clean, maintained rooms and attentive staff who were friendly. The wash room was too small and wasn't cleaned properly, though. It was a satisfactory place for a one-night stay.

The best thing was how close it was to the temple. We came as a family and booked ahead on MMT to avoid a last-minute hassle, but for me it would be better to arrive early and check the rooms in person before booking online. I paid ₹2.5K on MMT (Make My Trip) for one Deluxe AC room for 4 people. It was a bad experience and not worth the money. The room was cramped for four, though manageable. The attached bathroom was tiny and dirty, with broken things taped together. The toilet sink leaked when we flushed, the hand basin was clogged and wouldn't drain, and the M-Seal they'd applied here and there didn't seem to help. The faucets were filthy and broken, and with no exhaust fan, it was suffocating, like a public toilet. There was no parking.

There isn't any car parking, so you'd have to leave your car at Sri Kalahasti Temple car parking area, which charged 70. Hospitality was good, and rooms were decent for the price. The beds and mattresses were comfortable, there was a TV, and the bathroom had a water heater. Bathrooms were okay. Food is available nearby, and it's within walking distance of the temple.
