The lawn and orchid are lovely, and the atmosphere makes up for the rooms being a bit dated and the facilities not quite matching hotel showers. The property is a nice old place near Dal Gate, and the rooms were clean and maintained. The people managing it didn't seem very friendly. At 9:30 am they refused to serve breakfast because we hadn't ordered the night before. We were fortunate to meet the landlady, who was friendly and told us stories about her childhood in Kashmir and the plight of Kashmiri Hindus in 1989.

We were two families with a little one, and all of us loved our stay at Laxmi guest house. It's a beautiful, well-kept property in a great spot, just a short walk from Dal lake. We felt safe there, and the hot water, room service, and other basic amenities all worked well. The hospitality and homely meals were wonderful. Our only downside was wishing we could come more often.

The guest house was clean and cozy, with all the amenities I needed, and its location suited me perfectly. Dal Lake was within walking distance. From the moment I arrived, host Kuldeep went out of the way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The service was exceptional and made the stay even more enjoyable. I had a fantastic time at Lakshmi Guest House in Srinagar, and would gladly return and recommend it to friends and family.

I spent one night here and had a wonderful stay. It's very close to Dal lake, and is one of the few Kashmiri Pandit’s homestays. The others are disguised with Hindu names. If you're looking for a Hindu guest house, stay here.

The location is a real plus, just a five-minute walk from Dal Lake. My family and I felt at home the whole time at Lakshmi Guest House, rather than like we were staying in a hotel. Manager Kuldeep Thakur was hospitable, and chef Sagar's food was delicious and suited everyone, including my son and grandson. I've promised myself I'll visit again.
