Royal Chola

For 4500 rupees a night, this isn’t worth it. Breakfast was cold, there was no hot water or towels, and they claim to be a 4 star hotel, though it felt like 2 star or less. My sincere advice is to go somewhere else.

The room was small and still smelled of fresh paint, as if the staff hadn’t aired it out properly. The rooms and corridors were clean, and the front desk staff tried to help. Food quality was okay, not great. I didn’t see a swimming pool or gym. There’s a separate bar, but no liquor was available. Beer might be delivered to the room, though at double the printed price. There weren’t many patrons, so management seemed to be having trouble managing costs.

The dining choices were impressive, with delicious Indian, Italian, and Pan-Asian food. Prices were a bit steep, but the quality and variety made them worthwhile. Friendly, attentive staff provided top-notch service. The Grand Chola hotel in Chennai exceeded expectations with a grand lobby, spacious rooms, and modern amenities. A truly unforgettable, luxurious stay, highly recommended for comfort.

No parking, bad rooms, and no hot water in the bathroom. For 4200 + tax, it’s not worth it. Worst experience.
