Grand Arcadia - Srirangam

We stayed in room 210 from 27th to 29th Oct and had a delightful visit. The hotel is close to thiruvanakoil & ranganathar temples, and the staff were polite and accommodating. They agreed to a late checkout on the 29th for a small charge. The room and bathroom were neat, the AC worked well, and toiletries and towels were provided. There was also a kettle. Breakfast buffet was very good, and every dish we tried at Kannapa restaurant was fantastic. I was very happy with the stay and would recommend it.

The good points were the 24-hour checkout, decent breakfast, and courteous staff. But the rooms are very old, and the AC barely worked even in January, during winter. I can't imagine how bad it might be in summer. The bathrooms are run down, and the tiny, noisy lift looked awful. Staff carried our luggage up the stairs.

The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and both breakfast and dinner at the in-house restaurant were good. It mostly met the standards of a 3-star hotel. The downside is the noise. The hotel is right by the main road service lane and opposite masjid, so I couldn't sleep properly in my room. My friend stayed in a room at the back and didn't have that problem. I'd recommend asking for a room on the backside.

A neat hotel with good facilities and amenities, and a very nice breakfast. It's in a very congested spot, though, with practically no car parking. There's a small basement space, but getting in is difficult.
