The Aurum Subrahmanya

Our room looks out over the river and forest, and the peaceful setting feels just right for this blissful town. Chants play on every floor, and the staff are friendly and pleasant. They serve pure vegetarian food, including options without onion or garlic, though we hoped for a bit more traditional local food. We also had to keep asking for water bottles, so more should be left in the rooms. One other thing: the bird cage feels out of place when birds are chirping freely all around. It must be hard for the caged birds to watch them, and I’d ask you to set them free. It doesn’t fit the peace of the surroundings.

We spent two days here and came away very pleased. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff's service and the hotel's atmosphere made the stay memorable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and just what we wanted for a relaxing visit. I’d highly recommend it for a comfortable family stay.

The food was great, especially at the pure vegetarian restaurant, and they can make meals without onion or garlic, which is useful when visiting the temple. We also had a lovely river and mountain view from our room, and the temple is only a few minutes away. The staff were helpful. Room cleaning and replacing water bottles and towels should happen on time without us needing to ask each time. The front desk could use some training.

Our room and bathroom were huge and extremely clean, well beyond what we expected. After a tiring trip, the staff got us checked in quickly, and everyone we met was friendly and polite. We were there with our 13-year-old daughter from 4th Feb to 6th Feb, and we'd happily choose Aurum again. We first heard about Aurum Subramanya while looking for somewhere to stay for our first Kukke temple visit from Chennai. They arranged airport pickup from Mangalore and a drop back too. The driver was polite, drove safely, and was very good. The 24-hour restaurant served tasty food quickly. Chef Ravindra's signature dishes were standouts: Honey chilli potato, Baby corn, paneer in peanut sauce, Dal makhani, which was the best I've had so far, a smoky cream of Tomato soup, lemon coriander soup, and coriander mushroom. The Tomato Halwa and Mirchi Halwa desserts were made on request. The hotel is beside the river, with forest across from it, and there's a dining spot with a river view. We enjoyed the infinity pool, the benches for sitting and enjoying nature, and feeding the fish. We also saw 2 crocodiles. They can drive you to the temple and nearby places. I don't usually write reviews for places I've visited, but this stay made me want to.
