The pool, surrounded by nature, was the best part of our family stay at August residency, and the clean, spacious room made us comfortable. We had a great experience. The only issue was the access road to the resort, which is a little narrow and needs maintenance.

We went with college friends and had a really good time. The peaceful setting was lovely, the rooms were tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, DJ, and campfire. There are many tourist attractions nearby. I’d recommend it for a family or group trip.
We came as a group of 58 family members and booked 13 rooms for two days. August Residency was affordable, in a lovely location, and we enjoyed our stay. Vishnu, the property manager, was especially polite, humble, and supportive. Since our bus couldn’t reach the resort, he arranged a mini auto to pick us up and drop us off after we explained the situation with the kids and senior citizens. He also arranged a DJ and BBQ, and let us use the nice swimming pool in the evening. They even lent us their bike for groceries. The service men cleaned the floor whenever we asked, even with our big group coming back from the pool. That level of support meant a lot.
We spent two nights here on our Wayanad trip, and the staff let us check in early when we arrived at 10:30 AM after starting from Bangalore around 5:30 AM. The resort sits among lush green farms, and the narrow access path wasn’t a problem because there was hardly any traffic. Our medium-sized room had a bed that fit two adults and a child, with room for another mattress if needed. Mr. Jenish was very friendly and supportive. He helped guide our trip and find a cab for local travel. Breakfast was complimentary and limited to one item with tea or coffee, but it was good. Dinner is available in house if ordered before 6:30 PM, and I loved the food. Mr. Sagar, the Nepali cook, made North Indian food very well. Two nights of dinner for our family of four cost around ~650 rupees, which was very reasonable. As a vegetarian, I often struggle at typical Kerala restaurants where Veg and Non-Veg food come from the same kitchen, so Mr. Sagar was a lifesaver for those two days. Thanks to Jenish for his help and Sagar for his cooking.
The location feels scenic even though it’s very close to sultan bathery, and getting to town is easy. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was tidy, and the beds fit three people comfortably; an extra bed is available too. I really enjoyed the stay.
