Hotel Ashirwad

The food at Hotel Ashirwad was good, and its location was a big plus, close to the main railway station and local market. I've stayed there many times and had a pleasant, memorable experience. On one visit with my office staff, we hadn't planned any sightseeing, but the hotel staff took us to well-known local attractions for a very reasonable daily charge. They were far apart, yet the ride was worthwhile because he made it enjoyable by sharing local information about each place and what made it special. If you come to Surat without plans and still want to see as much as you can, I'd recommend this hotel. Enjoy, and thank you.

I'm staying here because it feels safe, and that is the only reason for my three stars. They charged 2200 for an account room that was decent, though not especially good. Breakfast was supposedly included, but what they served was bread and butter with just two drops of butter, fried on a tawa instead of spread on the bread. Quite strange. In the bathroom there was only one small Medimix soap. The western toilet looked brown and dirty, and the bath bucket was so muddy that I had to clean it before using it.

The rooms are neat and clean, and the hotel staff and services are good. Everything else was fine, but I'm giving it four stars because they say free WiFi is available when there isn't WiFi service in the rooms.

I've known this hotel since childhood, and I have no complaints or customer dissatisfaction. It's in the best location, one of the best places.
