OYO 1389 Hotel Relax Inn

The bed was king-sized and comfortable, and the AC and TV worked well. The room itself was decent, though small, and the staff were helpful. Check-in was easy: we arrived at 11:00, before the scheduled time, and weren't charged extra. Since we booked through oyo, breakfast was included. The stay was comfortable and hygienic, and room service was great. The bathroom handle was broken, though, and there was nowhere to hang clothes. A nice budget hotel for under 800.

The location is handy, within 1 km of the central railway station, central bus stand, and city bus stand. Parking wasn't much of an issue, and the rates were reasonable. The staff were polite, helpful, and cooperative. Rooms had good furnishings, room service was prompt, and the breakfast was healthy and tasted like home.

We ended up staying for 7 days because the hotel had taken full payment in advance and we had no other option. They wouldn't honor my OYO booking at first, spoke to us very rudely, and then charged more on top of the amount I'd already paid. I'd booked a 3X Delux room, but even after paying extra they put us in a 2X Classic room in awful condition. It was dirty, with torn, filthy pillows and quilts. The bathroom door wouldn't shut or lock, and the only chair was broken. The water came in a dirty jug, and room service was rude when we asked for clean pillows or help. The restaurant was just as bad about cleanliness, serving food in dirty plates and glasses, though the food tasted average.

The hotel entrance looked nothing like the photos online, and the room was damp, smelly, untidy, with dirty sheets. Renovation work was underway too. I'd prepaid after booking, but once I saw the place I cancelled right away and found another hotel. Oyo customer care were very helpful and refunded me quickly. I'm extremely grateful to them.
