6/10
The hotel is in a good spot close to Laxman Jhula, so nearby places are easy to reach and the surroundings give a nice overall feeling. But it sits down a narrow lane, which is awkward to access by car. Parking is tight, with room for around 6-7 cars, and staff take the car keys to manage moving vehicles, which can be inconvenient. Breakfast was average, neither particularly good nor bad, and the choices were limited. The rooms are decent, though the very slippery floors felt unsafe for children. We also asked for a cab and were told they’d get back to us, but nobody followed up. It may suit solo travelers, but I’d avoid it with a family or if traveling by car.

Sankar Kothiyal deserves special appreciation for the housekeeping at Dev Retreat. The room stayed spotless, neatly organized, and refreshed with real attention to detail. He was consistently professional, polite, and hardworking, and went the extra mile to keep things clean, comfortable, and welcoming. His positive attitude made the stay more relaxing and enjoyable. Guests at Dev Retreat are lucky to have him looking after housekeeping. Highly recommended.

After moving over from another hotel, I had a great stay here. The staff were fantastic and courteous, the food was excellent, and the location was great too. I’ll come back.

The staff at Dewa Retreat really made this stay for me. They were warm and attentive, and went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. I also loved the food, and my room was both lovely and very comfortable. The hotel is in a great spot, so getting around was easy. Dewa Retreat gave me one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I’d happily come back, and recommend it to anyone after a memorable stay.

I’d strongly recommend this place in Rishikesh. It’s in a beautiful spot, very close to the Ganga and Laxman Jhula bridge. The food was good and hygienic, and the staff were excellent, friendly, and caring.
