Haut Monde Hill Stream Resort

The owners said they’d refund our ₹10,000 advance, but nearly two months later we’re still waiting. We followed up several times and got excuses and promises, with no accountability. It’s been mentally exhausting and feels financially unfair. We left as soon as we arrived because staying there wasn’t feasible. The area had no network, so communication was difficult, and the property itself was in very poor condition. The clean, well-kept place shown online bore little resemblance to what we found in Dehradun. Be cautious when booking; the pictures and description may not match reality.

Our child loved the pool, and the nearby river was calm and refreshing for family time. The swings and slides in the play zone kept our little one happily occupied too. We also played chess together, which made the trip feel special. The resort’s setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature. Our room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, and we enjoyed the food. Staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. It was a relaxing, joyful stay for our family, and we’d love to return.

A beautiful river stream runs below the resort, and it’s easy to get to. The setting is breathtaking and wonderfully quiet. The staff were good, and the food was delicious. We loved the peaceful feel of the place.

The vehicles taking guests to the restaurant felt unsafe and were in awful shape. Inside, the rooms were dirty, hygiene was poor, and even the TV didn’t work because it had no recharge. Other guests were complaining too and seemed just as cheated. The photos made the resort look great, and the sales team promised luxury, but what we found was completely different. It’s clearly not maintained well and isn’t worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend it unless they make serious improvements.
