Terrakotta Rishikesh

I spent a month here working remotely and found it easy to settle in. The hotel had a welcoming, positive vibe, and the staff were reliably polite, attentive, and helpful throughout. I’d gladly stay again.

Nikky ji gave us useful advice about local rules and safety, especially since we had a scooter rental for two days. The breakfast had a good range and tasted great, and the staff even helped load our bags into the tempo when we left for Yog Nagri station. Check-in and checkout were both smooth, and they helped us unload our luggage when we arrived by taxi. We stayed two nights in a King Room with a balcony. It was spacious, nicely designed, and had a calming feel. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and room service was prompt. From the balcony, we enjoyed the refreshing Rishikesh breeze. The guests and the property had a serene, positive feel. Terrakotta Hotel is close to Laxman Jhula, so it was convenient for reaching attractions, while still feeling like a peaceful break from the busy streets. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to couples and families visiting Rishikesh.

The room overlooked an ugly parking lot, despite the hotel photos showing nice views. I raised this with the staff and explained that I’d traveled a long way trusting those pictures, but they just said, “pictures are pictures.” The staff were rude and kept talking over me. Most of their answers were basically, “you chose it, mam.” I’d arrived with a guest, but had accidentally booked for one person. They said two people couldn’t stay in the king room unless they brought in another bed, and charged half the one-night price for it. Honestly, it was a really unpleasant experience. I wouldn’t recommend risking a Rishikesh vacation on a place like this.

Really nice stay, with very friendly staff and some of the cleanest hotels in Rishikesh. Gurlal Ji at the front was a big help with everything. The Yoga Shala was beautiful too. I’ll be back with my group next time!
