Fort Tiracol Goa

The sea-facing rooms had some of the best views, and we really enjoyed our stay in this heritage property. It had an old Portuguese feel, and the food was delicious, though the prices seemed a little high. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it.

I paid ₹43,804 for 6-9 Feb, but checked out a day early despite having paid in full. As a solo traveler, the property felt isolated and unsafe at night, and the view seemed overrated. The service was completely disorganized: the day staff were rude and careless, reception often wouldn't answer, and requests went nowhere. When I became unwell, I asked for medicine in the morning. They told me to send the details on WhatsApp; I did, but after repeated calls and knocking, nobody showed up even after 15-20 minutes. The stay was extremely disappointing for the price. I wouldn't recommend it, since better hotels at the same prices provide proper service and care.

The historical site is about 30 kilometers from Pedne and worth seeing. There aren't many attractions for a long sightseeing visit, so once is enough. The hotel alongside it offers good accommodation, but the prices feel excessive, especially for small amenities.

There’s ample parking, and this makes a lovely day out, with villages nearby and beautiful sights and sounds just a few metres into Maharashtra. The fort, now a hotel, has interesting names for the days of the week, and serves excellent food with plenty of choice. It stands on a cliff across the River Tiracol, with a chapel inside and mesmerising views of the Arabian Sea and river confluence, 200 away.
