We stopped at Divine Star Dhaba for a quick break on the way from Delhi to Chandigarh. Service was fast, which is handy on a highway trip, and the food was okay. We tried the chai too, but I didn’t think it lived up to what other reviewers said. Prices seemed a bit steep next to nearby dhabas. Still, it’s worth considering for a short stop and quick service while travelling.
Lunch with my family was tasty and freshly made, with a good balance and not too much oil or spice. The best thing was the buttered Tandoori roti. That was amazing and definitely worth trying.
This is a regular midnight stop for Volvo buses. I was hungry and, being Punjabi, ordered aaloo parantha. It came quickly and was good. The butter, though, was an extraordinary scary white, like white paint, and didn’t taste like butter at all. Everything else was fine. The floor was wet because the place was being washed. Maybe that needs to happen once a day, so perhaps I just visited at the wrong time.
There’s ample parking, and the sitting arrangements and EV Charging stations are the best parts. The place was clean, organized, and captivating, with tasty food and a nice ambiance. Service was amazing too. It is a bit costly, but that’s okay.
I waited 30 minutes for my order and it still never arrived. The staff were lazy and rude, and didn’t seem to care that anyone was waiting. I left without eating, and it ruined my mood. This was one of the worst places I’ve been to, zero stars. It seems to stay in business through arrangements with dhaba bus drivers and conductors.
