The one bad moment was Mr. Nelson, the salesperson. I handed him my card and found his attitude unprofessional; he was shouting at guests, which was unpleasant. Apart from that, everyone else and the resort experience were excellent. We had a lovely get-together at Country Club Kovalam, with a pleasant atmosphere that was just right for spending time together. Chef Subash and the team put out a very good buffet lunch. I first noticed GM Karthik personally helping set it up, and he stayed with the kitchen and staff until everything was ready. He kept checking in with guests afterward too, making sure people were comfortable. He really leads by example. I later had a good chat with Chef Subashh and GM Karthik. Both were friendly, humble, and clearly cared about giving guests a good experience. Their teamwork and hospitality made the gathering memorable.

Getting to Country Club Kovalam was easy, and there was plenty of parking, which helped since we came by car. Check-in was quick. Our room was spacious, clean, and well cared for, and the property as a whole was maintained beautifully, with amenities for relaxing and recreation. The beach is close enough for an easy walk, and there are lovely spots around the grounds to take in the scenery or capture some memories. The large pool was great for unwinding. We also enjoyed the restaurant, where the food was good and service prompt. The staff were especially courteous and friendly, always ready to help. It made for a really delightful stay that exceeded my expectations. I appreciated the team and would love to come back.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious variety and a menu that felt thoughtfully chosen. Subhash and the team did a commendable job. The location is pretty good, too, and the staff welcomed us warmly and treated us courteously. A great stay, especially if you love the beach.

The reception was the one decent part of this stay. The two pools looked okay, but they weren’t properly maintained either. The room was tiny, with barely any space to get changed. The hinges were broken, the washroom sink was damaged, and centipedes and lizards were inside. There weren’t even doormats, and the whole property seemed badly cared for. Staff kept calling to sell memberships instead of sorting out concerns. At the restaurant, things I ordered never arrived, the bill was wrong, and the staff were rude. Calling this a 3-star hotel is misleading. I’ve stayed in lodges with much better rooms and service.

The property is lovely and has beach access, though the road leading there is narrow. The restaurant food was really tasty. Adithyan and Karthika at the front office were friendly and helpful, and Sandeep the bellboy carried all our bags and wouldn’t even let us take any ourselves. Thanks to Adithyan and Karthika for helping us out. We had an awesome stay, with a fabulous atmosphere.
