OYO 2079 near Medical College

Although it's called a hotel, this is really a service apartment near Ullor. The room is large, with a huge living area, a small pantry, and a clean, well-kept bathroom. There's free WiFi, but the service isn't reliable, and there's no service staff to handle complaints. A nice shopping mall is in the same building.

The breakfast was served terribly, with idli wrapped in paper and chutni and sambar in plastic bags, and there weren't any plates. Cleanliness was just as bad: cockroaches were all over the bed, and plates left by previous customers sat in the lobby for over 24 hours. We had a really bad stay. I wouldn't choose this place at all.

For a one-night stay, this place is okay, but I wouldn't stay longer. It's a cheap option called Tayas Service Apartment, conveniently near the medical college, with a supermarket downstairs selling snacks, water, ice cream, biscuits, cake, and more. The restaurant food is good for all regions, but they didn't provide drinking water at breakfast, so we had to buy it from them. Quality-wise, it's just okay, not good. Some door locks were broken, one room had a broken shower, and the rooms felt very small. We had to ask two or three times for an extra towel and pillow.

The friendly, helpful staff and the cleanliness made the slightly higher price feel worthwhile to us. It may cost Rs 100 or 200 more than some nearby AC rooms, but it's still not expensive if you can afford it. Near the medical college, the rooms have a kitchen area with a mini dining space, a good-sized double bed, hot water, WiFi with acceptable speed, a lift, parking, and buffet breakfast depending on your booking. You can call them to book through Oyo for a discounted price.
