Nutmeg County

We went as a group of 25 for a corporate staycation and had a very nice time. The rooms were big and comfortable, the food was good, and the three caretakers made sure our needs were met without trouble. It's a quiet, secluded place but still close to major towns. There's a huge area for events and marriages, so it works well for group outings and parties. We'll definitely be back.

Nutmeg County was a refreshing break from the usual busy routine, with a calm, green setting. The pool was clean and well maintained, and we spent a lot of relaxed time there. Our room was neat and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and polite without hovering. A good peaceful getaway for family or friends. I'd recommend it.

Nutmeg County is about 7 km from Thodupuzha, so it feels like a quiet retreat while still being accessible. Vallamattam Farms manages the plantation-style homestay, surrounded by nutmeg trees and greenery. There are plenty of things to see on the working organic farm, including fish ponds, goat and cattle farms, beehives, and rubber processing. Guests can stay in a century-old ancestral mansion or one of two private villas. The traditional architecture is paired with modern comforts, and the eco-conscious construction uses native wood and tiled roofing in keeping with traditional vastu. Rooms are clean and functional, with more space in the outlying villas than in the main house. Each villa or house has its own unchlorinated freshwater pool. A natural stream runs through the grounds, and guests describe it as tranquil and babbling, with the possibility of taking a refreshing dip. Meals use fresh produce from the farm, and reviews describe the chef as skilled and the food as wholesome and homely. The staff are warm and helpful, though tea and other drinks may take a little time to arrive. It's a peaceful place for families, friends, or couples who want a rustic stay and time in nature.

We stayed in the earthern and heritage villa, a neat, well maintained place to unwind with family. Azad and Ajay looked after us well and made sure our needs were taken care of. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
