Dass Continental

The rooms are neat and tidy, and Dass Continental has ample parking. Rates are reasonable for the premium rooms, which all come with buffet breakfast. The staff are cooperative, and the restaurant serves great food.

The hotel is easy to reach, only 1 km from the railway station, and has a good parking area. Breakfast is complimentary and really good. Our room was neat and good, with a mini bar attached, and there’s an Ayurvedic spa at the hotel. We were staying for a friend’s marriage, and our friend had booked the room in advance. Because of a mix-up, though, they collected the room charge from my roommate. The front desk staff should be a little clearer. I also left my photo in the room when we checked out and realized a few hours later, while I was still in the city. I called reception to ask them to check if it was there, but the receptionist immediately said the room had been cleaned and they hadn’t found anything, without even saying they would check. They could have been a little kinder.

The veg buffet was the highlight, with lots of choices, especially the paneer dishes and salads. The non-veg selection was mixed, and the chicken was okay but nothing amazing. I’d come back just for the vegetarian spread 😊. food, relaxing

We had booked a mini suite at dass continental and arrived at 4 pm, well after the 2pm check-in time. Even after giving our details, including aadhar card and phone numbers, we waited a solid 29 mts to check in. They kept saying the room s allocated, but still asked us to wait. We ended up having to get a little argumentative to speed things up. The complimentary breakfast the next day was a total disaster: just idli, thattu dosa and upma, and at 7 45 am none of the dishes had been replenished in their serving bowls. There was also a family function for 250 ppl at the hotel, with around 18 rooms booked for it, though not ours. Most rooms were occupied by senior citizens, who were told to check out by 12.30 -1 and had to carry their suitcases down to the lobby themselves. They weren’t given even one room where they could leave their bags until the function was over. The lunch for the function was very badly kept. Overall, the service was not up to standard.
