The hotel and area felt safe, and we had a quiet night on a very comfortable bed. The bed was clean, and the Wi-Fi worked well, though the furnishings were a bit grim and the ceiling fan was noisy. Everything seemed to wobble or drip, and the TV didn't work, though we hadn't come to watch it. I was worn out by the constant WhatsApp and email messages from booking onward. I asked them twice to stop, but when we arrived it still seemed they weren't expecting us, maybe because of something lost in translation. It's about a 50-minute walk to the tourist spots, with Tuk Tuks easy to find. It wasn't a 'Fab' hotel, but for the price the quality was probably about what you'd expect.

The sheets, floor and bathroom were all visibly dirty, and there was hair on the bedsheets. Staff admitted they hadn't cleaned the rooms after the previous guests checked out. Even after we pointed out the problem, they neither changed the sheets nor cleaned the room. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We had three rooms booked, and all three had geyser problems, so we lost time trying to get hot water for bathing. They moved us to another room to use its hot water, but it had the same problem. A planned three-night stay became just one night before we changed hotels. Don't go in winter.

There's a restaurant on the ground floor where you can dine in or order to your room. The rooms are affordable and decent for the price, and I liked my stay. Some rooms have no windows, though, so air circulation could be an issue, depending on the person. It's a nice option if all you need is a place to sleep for one night before checking out in the morning.
