Fabhotel Vardan Villa

The location was good, near the railway station, and all the sites to visit were within 3 kms. Staff were kind and polite, though service was slow. Even a bottle of water took 20-30 mins. The rooms weren’t awful, but weren’t good either. Washroom taps were broken, and the quilt and mattress were dirty. Wifi is just for show, it doesn’t work.

I got there alone around 2 o clock late at night and saw people drinking beer at the entrance. It was an awkward situation, but I managed somehow and didn’t check in. If I’d been with family, encountering that on a trip would have been really pathetic. I asked to see the room, and it looked nothing like the photos. This is not a FabHotels property anymore, and there was no FabHotels branding anywhere. It felt like a scam using the FabHotels name. When I said I didn’t want to check in, they still asked me to pay 150 rupees in the name of GST. A very bad experience, not recommended to anyone.

The room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned, with condom wrappers scattered around the floor. I was there with my wife and parents, and it was an embarrassing situation. The toilets smelled and were unclean, the bedsheets and blankets hadn’t been washed, and there weren’t even proper floor mats. Even though it may seem close to the railway station, the hotel is far inside the streets. My father couldn’t sleep because doors to other rooms on our floor kept opening and shutting, and we weren’t sure what was going on. The worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Please don’t book it.

In room 202, the cupboard handle was broken so it couldn’t be opened, and there was a spider web on the bathroom mirror. The bedsheet hadn’t been washed, and the room was unclean. The reception staff were very arrogant. A very poor experience. Pics attached.
