Hotel Yorkshire Inn Udaipur

The room was unbelievably small, barely four steps long, and the washroom lock didn’t work. When we arrived, the room phone wasn’t working either. The so-called complimentary breakfast offered only THREE choices. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and haven’t encountered standards this poor. We came to Rajasthan with a tour company and were shocked by the condition of the first hotel they booked for us. Even basic things were missing: there wasn’t 24/7 hot water, and staff casually said they could give us only three buckets. That’s unacceptable for a hotel, especially one booked through a travel company. It was a terrible start to our trip and not what we paid for. I’d strongly advise others to avoid this place unless its quality and basic hospitality improve.

The peaceful, homely atmosphere and its proximity to major attractions made the stay especially nice. Hotel Mehrangarh Palace is beautifully maintained with a classic feel. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Cleanliness, service, and hospitality all stood out.

We enjoyed our stay here, and the room prices were very affordable. It’s a wonderful hotel, and I’d recommend it to everyone.

The rooms were more or less okay, but the service was pathetic. The bathroom toilet wasn’t working, and the hot water suddenly stopped, with no solution offered for the problems we faced. It took nearly an hour to bring an extra blanket and pillow. Meanwhile, staff were busy attaching hotel tags to guests’ bags for promotion. The service overall was very unprofessional.
