Ramada by Wyndham Udaipur Resort and Spa

Myra Restaurant had tasty food with a nice range and good quality, and the front desk team were attentive and courteous. Hema and Ajay took especially good care of us, with a warmth and professionalism that made our stay special. Ramada by Wyndham udaipur is peaceful and away from the city crowd. It's a little far from the centre, but the view of the Monsoon Palace makes up for that. The rooms and bathrooms are huge, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable, and the outdoor sitting area added to the relaxing feel. Cleanliness was excellent throughout. One small suggestion: premium bed runners could make the rooms feel more polished and luxurious. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this calm, quality property to anyone visiting udaipur.

We stayed two nights at Ramada for a wedding. We enjoyed the wedding itself, and the decorations and arrangements with the event manager were done well. The rooms are a good size, each with a good view, and the property is well maintained. Staff were courteous, room service was efficient, and some breakfast dishes were really good. Still, the venue left a lot to be desired and has plenty of room to improve. The main problem was the food. There were over 20-25 dishes at each event, but none were memorable. It was bland and tasteless, and there was extensive use of soda that gave almost all the guests stomach issues. It seemed like the chef and team hadn't tasted what they were serving. The washroom water was salty, perhaps because the desalination plant wasn't working, and the staff didn't seem to know about it. The rooms also had very little light, with no light above the mirror, which felt like neglect for a venue used so much for weddings and events. At times there was a slight musty smell.

The breakfast buffet had a good mix of hot and cold options, and the location worked well for our plans, though I can't say what it was near. Every team we met, from housekeeping to the restaurant, was courteous and helpful. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff were friendly from the start. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a cozy bed and amenities that all worked, including the TV, WiFi, and climate control. We had a fantastic stay at the Ramada and would choose it again. Thanks for a memorable visit.

The property is beautiful and well located, but it needs a lot of upkeep. Our room was spacious, though it needed renovation and had a musty smell. Getting coffee with alternative milk was difficult, and nobody seemed to know how to help. On my first visit to Udaipur, the reception team came across as unwelcoming and unprofessional, and didn't seem to know much about what was happening at the property. We attended the gala Christmas dinner, and as Australians we were charged a very high price for the same food and service. That felt ridiculous and like a clear example of racism, despite people saying it doesn't exist. I'd recommend the property for its beauty and location, but the stay and service seem to depend on luck. There's a lot to improve, especially staff English, since tourism is the main attraction here.
