The rooftop bar and restaurant is a real plus at night, and Dineout offers can bring down the cost of a meal. Breakfast had fruit and juice as well as a decent mix of South and North Indian food. I would've liked a few non-veg choices, though the kitchen staff were helpful and willing to customize dishes when asked. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and roomy. The AC unit and remote both had problems during our stay, and a fan in the room would help. Parking isn't dedicated, but we could safely leave the car right outside. City Palace, Lake Pichola, and Jagdish Mandir are all convenient to reach, less than 1 km away. Walking through the local streets and market is part of the appeal. A good option in Udaipur, with a few things that could be improved.

Anish ji welcomed us warmly when we arrived, and the reception staff were polite. The service was good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The food didn't have the taste I hoped for, but the stay was still unexpectedly nice and fit our budget. I'd suggest it to friends and family for a comfortable visit.

Mr. Sohan, the Operations Manager, deserves a special mention for his professional manner, support, and warm welcome. There's plenty of parking, which made our visit easy, and the hotel works well for family lunches, parties, or celebrations. The rooms were cozy, attractive, and well cared for. We also enjoyed the food, which was delicious and good quality. Near Gulab Bagh, Surya Residency Hotel has a lovely view of the City Palace. Recommended for a comfortable stay and a meal with a royal city view.

Food tasted good and the service was prompt, but the rooms were average and the floor had an unpleasant smell. Check-in is strictly at 12. They say on the phone they may provide a room earlier if one is available, so plan your trip around the 12 o'clock check-in.

We booked three nights but left after just one. We'd arrived late, around 9:30 pm, without any communication beforehand, and the room still wasn't ready. Once we got in, it was dirty, with marks on the sheets, dust, and hair everywhere. It also looked nothing like the photos. We were told the kitchen stayed open until 10:30, but at 10 it was already impossible to order food. Such a disappointing mess.
