The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace

The view across Fateh Sagar lake was wonderful, and the food at Padmini was very good. We also enjoyed drinks outside while watching the sunset. Jaydev at the restaurant, and Bharat and Madhur from housekeeping, deserve a special mention. Everyone we met, from the traditionally dressed person at the front door to General Manager Arjun, was kind and attentive. The staff were always ready to help. We chose The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace for its strong reviews and because we’d stayed there on our honeymoon 43 years ago. When we told duty manager Rohan we were returning to Udaipur for the first time since then, the welcome was incredible. General Manager Arjun, Rohan, and the team greeted us with a bouquet and drinks, and Arjun left a thoughtful handwritten note about our return. We’d recommend this five star hotel to anyone looking for good food and service at a reasonable price.

I liked chatting with General Manager Arjun about the property and his experiences there. Paulomi, Pappu Singh, Kuldeep, Prithviraj, Zahid, Rohan, and Neha also gave us such attentive service. With the lake views, gorgeous sunsets, green grounds, and palace charm, the place feels regal and has a nice mix of heritage and modern luxury. The team was warm and courteous, and made our stay memorable. It’s a great choice for a Udaipur getaway, with so much to enjoy on site that there’s hardly a need to go out. I’ll choose it again on future visits.

The interiors had Shreenathji’s frames throughout, which gave the beautiful property a peaceful, almost divine feel and really changed the atmosphere. The whole team was welcoming and polite. At Restaurant Padmini, Shahbaz, the team leader, was especially helpful when we had an issue. He stayed patient and positive until a proper solution was found. He’s soft-spoken, polite, and very customer-friendly. I really appreciated his support.

Padmini’s restaurant team were especially welcoming and attentive, and Mr.Sahil Khan took care of us and handled all our requests. From the view and rooms to the food and hospitality, everything was top notch. I haven’t stayed at a hotel that scored five out of five for every aspect. Loved our time here, kudos to the Lalit!
