The food feels like home, and the rooms are clean. Skyard Hostel, Harshil has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, with the mountains all around making it easy to unwind and meet people. Monu Bhai, the owner, makes guests feel like family and really goes out of his way to make them comfortable. Dai, the caretaker, is always cheerful and helpful, keeping things running smoothly. It’s more than just a place to sleep. If you’re going to Harshil, I’d say Skyard Hostel is a must-stay.

The Wi-Fi was very good. Jio has full 5G coverage across Harshil valley and nearby areas, while Airtel and Vi don’t, so keep that in mind. I spent three nights here last week and had a good time meeting some great fellow travelers. The staff were helpful and accommodating. They’ll make tea, coffee, or food like thali, maggi, omlette, and parathas whenever you ask. I probably annoyed them with all my requests 😅. The dorm beds are just okay, and there aren’t many options. The washroom could use some improvement too, since it has no shower, jetspray, or wiper. At the time I’m writing this, it’s the only dormitory option in Harshil.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Don’t book based on the online photos. If you arrive in Harsil on time and walk around, you can find better, cheaper hotels. During peak season, look at the other options too.

The view from the hotel is really nice, and Lama Top and Dhrali village are within walking distance. The location near the army camp also makes it easy to reach. I stayed at Skyards for two days and had a wonderful time. The staff were very polite, friendly, and cooperative. Both the room and washroom were clean and well maintained, which made everything comfortable.

It’s a beautiful place and a budget-friendly hotel. You can book a room through Google, just make sure the booking is confirmed.
