The cockroaches were everywhere, including in both of our rooms, on the floor, beds, and in the toilet. The sheets and duvet were dirty, and the AC was set to 16 degrees but didn't cool the room. There was no water in the room, only one towel, and the TV wasn't working. Staff never brought the remote or fixed the TV. We called several times for help, but although they kept saying someone would come, nobody showed up. I asked to change rooms because of the infestation, but the same thing happened. Eventually they brought water and more towels, but that was all. Things were bad right from the front desk: staff were unwelcoming, barely interacted with us, seemed confused, and took ages to sort out the booking. I asked twice for help with our luggage because I was traveling with my parents, who can't carry heavy bags. Instead, staff told us to wait while they handled the booking, even though the taxi couldn't wait forever, so I had to carry everything myself. No one explained the facilities or showed us to the room. This was a shocking experience, and I wouldn't recommend this property.

We paid ₹2500 a night and stayed two days, checking out at 10 PM on the second day for a total of ₹5000. For that price, we expected decent service, but the trip to Baroda with my parents left us deeply disappointed. The only helpful people were the receptionist who handled our arrival and late checkout, and the watchman who tried to help with our heavy bags. We had considered recommending the hotel to friends and relatives who visit Baroda, but we won't after this stay. I picked it despite the negative reviews because a few positive ones made me think things might have improved. My dad was unsure, and I told him the bad comments were old. I was wrong. We wouldn't recommend staying here. The bathroom was in awful shape. The soap and shampoo bottles were empty, the flush button was broken, and water was leaking at first. My dad had to fix that himself. The AC never worked, and nobody came to check it after we complained. We also had to ask for basic supplies, and otherwise no amenities were provided. Breakfast was listed on the hotel's rules board as complimentary from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, but we got none. Around 7-8 AM we called the restaurant just to order coffee, which we were willing to pay for. They let the phone ring, then answered as it was about to disconnect and said service would take time because staff hadn't arrived. That was during breakfast hours. We're not Hindi speakers and did our best to communicate, but the same effort wasn't made on their side. The whole experience was a mess. I wouldn't stay there again.

Booking this place was a mistake and a waste of money. The food was poor, and the stay felt uncomfortable because the rooms were dirty and badly maintained. Hygiene standards seemed nonexistent. The towels were especially unpleasant, old and rough, with loose fibers that stuck to my face and body when I used one. I found that unhygienic. I strongly wouldn't recommend staying at Rajpath Hotel, Vadodara.

The room they eventually gave us was dusty and untidy, and the staff seemed more prepared to argue than help. At first, they offered a room without a fan, and the air conditioning wasn't working either. They spent half an hour deciding which room category to give us, then said they had no room for just two occupants and that the room without a fan or AC was our only option.

The staff were supportive, though I think they could use more people. Our room was neat and clean. The location is easy to find by looking for "Hotel Rajdeep".
