Athidi Holiday Homes by OYO Rooms

We were seven families staying for a day and night, and it was a very pleasant visit. The apartments, with two or three bedrooms, were roomy enough, and the bathrooms had modern fittings and hot water. The dining room also has cable TV. There’s no restaurant on site, though staff can arrange food based on what you need. Everyone was courteous and well behaved. It’s a well-kept holiday home, but having its own restaurant would make it better.

The views are really good, with hills all around, and the covered terrace can be used for dining or small to medium-sized parties. It’s part of a resort project on the same compound. The dorm rooms have eight queen beds and can hold around 20 people, with private rooms available too, so it works well for groups. I couldn’t find public transportation to the place. You’ll need to use the resort transport or a private Jeep. Jeep sightseeing can be arranged from here at any time.

❤❤ The hotel has nice views and rooms with full glass walls. I’ve seen a lot of one-star reviews appear in a row. A taxi driver, whom I consider uneducated, shared a hateful post about the hotel in his all-Kerala taxi drivers’ WhatsApp group, and his fellow taxi members began leaving one-star ratings. It’s a shame to spread hatred and damage someone’s reputation. Those people are following the group blindly. The admin and anyone who rated it one star without even seeing the property should face a case.

Don’t stay here. There’s no guest lounge or waiting room, so if you arrive early, you’re left waiting outside the property. The reception desk was inactive, and the staff were irresponsible.
