Monticle Glamp

The food was decent, though it could be a little better, which is why I’m giving four stars. We stayed in the Bali-themed cottage and loved the view and open jacuzzi. The room and bathroom were very good, and the staff were friendly, polite, and looked after us well. All four of us had a fantastic vacation.

The drive in takes some care: the last 2.5 km from the main road is rough and broken in places, almost like an off-road track, though a sedan can manage it. At the resort, the spacious rooms were clean and well maintained, with beautiful views, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was good and there was a decent choice. The dome accommodation feels a bit old and could use refurbishment, as the worn tent takes away a little from the view. Still, it’s a lovely place to relax in nature, and I’d consider coming back.

Getting to Moticle Glamps, Vagamon can be tricky because the access roads aren’t in good condition. Once there, though, we had a memorable 2-night stay, with comfortable, beautifully maintained rooms and a really relaxing jacuzzi. The complimentary breakfast tasted great and was excellent quality. The à la carte food was below average for the resort’s overall standard, and took quite a while to arrive. Apart from that, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would like to visit again.

We had a great time here as a family, and I can see it being a lovely couples getaway too. The complimentary breakfast had lots of choices and was really good. There’s also a game room and a nice restaurant, plus a common pool, a photo point, and Bali-style villas with jacuzzis and infinity pools that looked stunning. We tried cycling, a campfire, tea plucking in the cute traditional costume they provide, and nature walks. Tea plucking was especially fun and unusual. I came from Australia for a short vacation, and staying in the Jacuzzi Glamp made the trip feel extra special. The ambience was beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff warm and welcoming. Front office manager Unnikrishnan was especially friendly and sweet, and even helped us take some lovely pictures. I’d recommend Monticle Glamp for a relaxing, memorable stay in Vagamon.
