Yo Yo Goa - The Apartment Hotel

The room itself was pretty okay, but the staff were terrible. They first put us in a room where the toilet wouldn’t flush. After a lot of calls and repeated '5 minutes' waits, we finally got another room. The laundry service was really expensive, and they hadn’t told us the price beforehand. When we left, I asked them to call a cab for the next place, only a five-minute ride away. They never mentioned the fare, and I was probably too naïve to think they’d found us a good deal. It cost 400 rupees for those five minutes, which is ridiculous. I would never have agreed if they’d told me first. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

We still haven’t received our deposit of approximately 7000 INR, even though the cancellation was supposed to be free. The hotel’s excuse is that it can’t transfer money to international accounts, yet it was able to take our payment. The customer service was really bad. They left us with the full responsibility for finding a solution, even though they should have much more experience with international payments than we do. This happened in 2019, and the money still hasn’t come back. It probably never will. If you’re traveling internationally, steer clear of this hotel.

The pool is beautiful, and the rooms were very clean and hygienic. The staff were friendly too. Right in the heart of NorthGoa. Highly recommend it.

The rooms were really good, with a microwave, a large fridge, and a clothes holder. Room service was nice, and they had menus from a few nearby restaurants that would deliver to the room. The swimming pool was under maintenance while I was there.
