The Petra Room itself is good for a stay, but the service was very poor. When I booked, they promised 24/7 generator backup for power cuts. For the last 2 days, though, my whole family was without electricity from 11 PM to 6 AM. The manager said they couldn’t run the generator temporarily because they didn’t have enough diesel. Breakfast was disappointing too: just one idly, one dosa, and a very small serving of pongal per person. Extra food cost ₹70 for a dosa, ₹30 for an idly, and ₹50 for tea. They didn’t keep the promises made at booking. They also charged GST but didn’t provide a GST number. It felt like a waste of money, especially with the owners staying safely elsewhere with their family while guests suffered after paying a high amount. Bachelors might somehow manage, but for families I’d say it’s a waste of time and money. Avoid staying here.

The location is good and the rooms are okay, though quite small. Food choices are limited, so order ahead and ask for a little more than you need. Otherwise, they may not serve even a single piece of idly.

The food was okay, but the rooms felt cramped for Rs 3k and the blanket had an unpleasant smell. There’s no children’s play area. Plants and fencing cover the whole area, so it didn’t have much of a vacation feel.

The rooms are kept neat, and the place is very close to Solaiyar dam. The food is good quality, though they could offer more choices.

A very nice place with a good ambience. The staff were kind and attentive, the food was tasty, and the facilities were superb. It’s near Solaiyar Dam. Everything was very good.
